Anyone put a deposit down on the Hasselblad X1D yet?. Last night i got an email from B%H saying the lenses are now on sale,..............I goes that means the bodies will be out soon :) :)
 
Had a play with one in B&H yesterday [emoji3]
 
Very, very nice but unfortunately way out of my price range! I also had two staff members each side of me as I was handling it keeping a very watchful eye on things [emoji3]

Well, I'm not a fan of EVFs and I looked through under fluorescent lights and there was a bit of screen tearing when panned quickly (possibly due to the conflicting refresh rate of the lights and screen together) but, I'd say it was pretty good, as good as it can be (not surprisingly the best I've seen). I would have liked to have used it under natural light but they wouldn't let it more than a few feet from the table [emoji45]

I will get to play with one next month when I will be back in Scotland :) :)
 
I played with a pre-production one back in June and was very impressed with it. It still wasn't fully functional and had some bugs to iron out but it brings the usability and form factor a long way beyond the H series and other digi-MF cameras. The fact that it has all the new great features of the H6d (same sensor, 1/2000th sync speed, touch screen interface with much improved LCD display) and the price tag is relatively low too make it very tempting.

Ordered today but probably won't see it till late March by the sounds of things, lots of back orders to fulfil first. I was going to get a S/H H5d-50c but for the same money the X1 makes more sense, especially with more features and two year warranty. It's not cheap but for MF with the same sensor as the H5d it's a pretty good deal.
