hasselblad repairers in london

May we enquire as to the nature of the aforementioned repair requirement ?

I changed lens i think with it cocked on or uncocked or something, the lens when disconnected had the shutter blades seen. Couldnt get the lens on properly, and when i could it wouldnt wind on or fire another shot. Hassy only fires without the lens in place... On the meet yesterday someone turned the screw on lens with a penny and someone else pressed the pin in with a biro to release the blades as a reset. But... it didnt work and i tried different lens when i got home and it wont lock in place either.

Not sure if i broken the body or lens or both now :( feel kinda ****ed off now, hope i can get it fixed or buy another one at a similar price.

i would like to be able to find somewhere local or london to drop it in, get a estimate, if its too much to repair il buy another and then save the magazine part and have fun smashing this on the floor a few times:)

You'll probably be OK. You just have to get into the drill of making sure the shutter is cocked when you change lenses or it can really throw it out of whack. Great camera, but very quirky in that respect.

Here's another link on how to unjam - with pics.

You have to wonder if Hasselblad couldn't have found a better way of engineering things, but the basic design hasn't changed that much since the earliest cameras.

Hasselblad say leave it cocked at all times - even when not in use or stored for long periods, mainly to aviod the jamming problem, but they also say it's immaterial from a camera care point of view whether it's cocked or not when not in use.
