Hi,
Probably this is going to sound like a silly question - and I really hope that's the case - but I'm afraid to have a more serious problem.
I just bought a Hasseblad 500C/M a couple of days ago and, today, it finally arrived.
Although I'm used to medium format cameras, it's the first Hassy I own. I know there are some "rules" to follow if we don't want to jam the shutter (especially removing the lens), but all I did after receiving the camera was to rotate the wind crank to cock the shutter and test it. However I have a problem, I can't remove the magazine dark slide so, there's no way I can fire the shutter.
I can remove the dark slide with the magazine off the camera, but I have to put it in place if I want to mount the magazine again.
Do you guys think it was wrong to cock the shutter before removing the dark slide? In a Bronica ETRS there's not that kind of problem, but I don't know what's happening in this case.
I just hope that I didn't jam the shutter.
Thanks for your help!
