Yes
....... than banning the Heinz baked beans advert because people might be cut by sharp edges on the tins?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38073866

Folks who need to be told that opened cans might have sharp edges should not be be allowed to use tin openers, knives, paper.

Heinz beans open with ring pulls that don't leave anything remotely resembling sharp.
Bit of unnecessary nannying methinks. :D

The ASA has to react to complaints. It's the three people that complained that need their heads checking...seriously have they got nothing better to do? :shifty:

Nine people, apparently.

They don't have to uphold said complaints.

Probably more to do with the American-style compensation culture effect, where Heinz is afraid of having a lawsuit on their hands. Remember the infamous McDonalds hot tea event a few years back?

To be honest, I'm more unhappy with how rubbish tasting the actual contents has become.

But the decision wasn't Heinz's. :(

It deserved to be banned.

One of the most irritating adverts of recent times.

The elf n safety thing though...
ridiculous.

Hands up all those that cut their ears trying the old Baked Bean can and string telephone :)
Can we sue 50 years after the act I wonder?

:D At least with those we didn't have to faff about with ordering a nano sim card to fit into a new smartphone, only to spend all ruddy day trying to activate it using the same number with no success.
