Also warehouse express have a good deal with £150 cash back that my daughter could claim as a student ..

yep i've used them!!!! they swear blind that their stock is in reading but all the paper work comes from hong kong, even the DHL packaging is labeled from there.

though the delivery was very quick.
 
Haha I searched today the exact same thing just to see.

No doubt I'll be using erso though. Far more reliable than Simply!
 
i used them a couple of months ago to buy a canon 580exii,great price and quidco too,their promise of delivery in 1to2 days didn't materialise,it took almost a week,and after complaining they upgraded me to express delivery for free
 
I found they were very slow on the dispatch side of things even though the site says in stock, ordered a 24-105 lens on the Monday the payment showed cleared on the Wednesday but not dispatched untill the following Monday delivered Tuesday.
 
I've bought a lens and a 580EXII flash from them. Delivery isn't the fastest and the gear all seems to be grey import with 3rd party warranty but their prices can be keen depending on what the exchange rates are doing. My rating would be neutral, you get the service you pay for.

A mate recently got a 5Dmk2 +(24-105) kit of Kerso for a good price. I've had stuff from him too (an S90). In fact I've not heard a bad review. Buy with confidence if his price is competitive.
 
Kerso is the way to go before buying from thesae guys. Similar pricing and I'd ne 100% confident with him rather than 10% with SE.
 
I bought a Fuji bridge camera from them just after Christmas, great price but took nearly 3 weeks to arrive, ordered a Nikon lens last month and after 3 weeks no show I asked for a refund through Paypal, which I got.
 
i bought a 24-105L lens from them back in November last year before reading any reviews, as I thought that they were UK based and looked a fairly decent outfit based on the quality of their website.

Shortly after I ordered I read a load of terrible reviews and got a little concerned, especially as they'd already charged my CC.

I dropped an e-mail to Vanessa at Simply Electronics saying that I needed the lens for an upcoming trip to India (which was true) and asked if she could speed my delivery up at all, as I didn't realise it would take up to 10 days to deliver when ordering.

She was very quick to reply and I kept a dialogue going with her during the following 2-3 days after my order - she gave me good updates and I received my lens 7 days after ordering.

I have to say that all in all I got a good service from them - I recommended a few improvements that I thought they could make to their automated updates re: orders and she said that they were already addressing them.

Would I order from them again - yes I would. I haven't yet and did consider buying my 7D from them last month, but in the end I bought from Kerso as I wanted a UK warranty for my camera. Price wise they were fairly similar.

I can also highly recommend Kerso, as many others on this forum & other forums do.
