Has Anyone Used an Alpa 12?

I was watching some videos from Phase One last night and daydreaming of buying an IQ180 back and one of the chaps they interviewed was a Spanish architectural photographer called Eugeni Pons.

Amongst the other kit he used an Alpa 12 which got me looking at them, what a lovely looking piece of kit!

I just wondered if anyone had any experience in them and if they are as lovely to use as they look.

Unfortunately - no I haven't used one, but I think you can rest assured the quality is about as good as it gets. Alpa have always made high end cameras with a price tag to match. They use a helical mount in place of the traditional bellows which they feel is more accurate and I've no doubt it is. It also means that each lens comes with it's own helical mount so they cost a bomb!
