How on earth did you manage to hide that info from her? Mine knows to the penny how much mine's all worth :bonk:

I wouldn't dare tell mine how much mine cost.

She thinks my enire setup cost a couple of hundred quid.

She'd accept £50 for a quick deal

seperate bank accounts...plus a lot of stuff was bought before I met her...since then I upgrade and tell her..."oh i only paid £xxx in exchange for the other item"

This is a constant fear for me...my better half has no idea what all my gear is worth...so if I were to drop dead tonight someone would get a VERY good deal.

It'd pay you to have the well-known letter

"ONLY TO BE OPENED IN THE EVENT OF MY DEATH

Dearest wife/widow, I am now very sorry to have been slightly inaccurate with what I told you that various camera bodies and lenses actually cost. Before you dispose of them you should know the true market values which are set out below....

Will I see you in Heaven?

Understand that no one posts an analogy about me like that and gets away with it!

I think I understand but I feel obliged to point this out:

It's interesting the seller is publishing their replies to the 'stolen' queries. But here is one of the seller's replies:
"HI NO IT IS NOT STOLEN DO YOU THINK I WOULD PUT ON EBAY IF IT WAS???"

Yes, of course, why not. If genuine, it is a bit daft of their friend to sell it like this, with tripod plate, no charger (or cables etc) and with a lens.

Q: Alright mate, where abouts in sheffield are you? Any chance i could view the camera before purchasing?
A: HI SORRY NO VIEW DUE TO WORK COMMITMENTS

Ehh????

Loads of questions like this in the sale and someones just put another bid for the camera:cuckoo:

It might be his mates bidding to up the price. I wonder if the camera actually works.

What few has noticed is how the seller deflected the request for someone to visit to see the camera, the reply was that the seller was too busy with work commitments.

Wish I was too busy with work commitments I couldn't get a couple of hours to sell an expensive bit of kit

Its got 10 bids now and up to £1045:eek:

another question on there stating batries and charger being used on another camera:thinking:

think I will watch this one and see what feed back she gets for it

A pity we all weren't so indignant about a government that robs us blind every day of our lives... :shake:

Interestingly ebay only accept reports of stolen goods from the Police.

I reported a D700 that I saw on ebay and it was positively glowing it was so hot.
New profile, camera only, no lens, no charger, no instructions no proof of purchase. I thought of Ryan's gear when I saw it. So I pressed the report button and said that I was highly suspicious and got a nice polite email saying basically that ebay are not interested unless it's the Police looking for something. And yet the Police advise victims to keep an eye on ebay.

The world truly has gone mad!

Well he's openly answering questions on if it's stolen, for example...

Q: is it stolen?
A: HI NO IT IS NOT STOLEN DO YOU THINK I WOULD PUT ON EBAY IF IT WAS?????

Funny he doesn't say do you think I'd have it in my possession though eh?

"Nah, the stolen stuff goes to the car boot mate"

Won't be long before she can go for slander and make a profit on that too.

This forum post has de-generated into a witch hunt with absolutley no proof or hard facts what so ever.

Sad reflection of what should be an amiable and informative place to be.

im going to lock this thread. there is no proof, only conjecture, and its not fair.
