Because I did.

Had a photo booth setup on Saturday, 200 guests, brand spanking new set of 500R Pro heads with new bowens slot in receiver cards.

The furthest light from me was 2.5 meters, the other two were right next to me and the flashes randomly didn't go off.

Out of three heads often one (any one) wouldn't fire. :bang:

These things are £80 each but aren't worth 50p if I can't rely on them. Nothing looks more unprofessional than a photographer asking the client to 'wait there a minute' only to retake a shot.

I've ordered the pocketwizard versions today to see if they are any better. If not it's back to the non plug in ones.

I'll report back accordingly.

Phone up Bowens, I had a different problem and they've been brilliant, offered to pick up my whole kits (lights & all) and run tests to work out what was wrong. Have since worked it out myself and they've sent replacement items. Can't fault them - other than the fact that it would have be nice if they worked in the first place :)

I use 4 lights with a single card.
