Just looking at this for a potential bag for wandering and shooting. It seems quite versatile with an optional tripod attachment.

Went to Kimmeridge on Saturday and really needed something to save my poor tripod from the two falls I had. I'm used to propping it with one leg open over my shoulder and any sudden slips or falls sent it crashing into the rocks

With one hand worrying about smashing my pride and joy I didn't have much else to stop me from going down once I slipped :schtum:.

I don't know if the sling / quick draw gimmick would come in for much use but it woudl save putting the bag on the floor which will only encourage dust and debris over many outings of use into the bag.

Anyone got one

My wife bought one for Xmas, mainly to carry her camera gear with plenty of space for other gear when we are hill walking. We were unable to get the tripod part yet as it seems difficult to obtain, it may be available now though. We have done some lengthy walks in all sorts of conditions including deep snow. She is very impressed with it and can carry it with no problem all day. There is a lot of room for cameras and lenses.

The versatile carrying straps are really good, usually uses them crossed while walking and it quickly converts to a sling shot look-alike when required...one advantage when in this mode is that it forms a resonable rest to hold the camera steady.

If I can be any more help let me know.

Paul.

I have a 3n1 30 and love it. It holds a ton load of stuff to give you an idea mine normally has in it the following:

Gripped 5D
Gripped 40D
Sigma 12-24
Sigma 24-70
Sigma 70-200
2 x 580 EX II's
Full set of wireless triggers
Enough spare batteries for everything
Various cables and some filters and flash gels

Theres still room for a drink and something to eat as well.

My only complaint is that I didn't get the new one with the laptop compartment.

IT IS HEAVY THOUGH!!!! but thats not the bags fault for longer slogs I use the normal rucksack and hip belt config and its fine

It is so versitile with the strap configs etc I have found the trolly strap on mine very usefull when flying as well. I'm considering getting one of the smaller ones as well for those days I dont need all of the above.

That's me sold then, thanks very much , plenty of room for what I want. I've ordered the 33 (with the laptop sleeve) and a tripod holder.

I got the 3n1 33 with the tripod attachment. No real complaints yet. I bought it because, unlike the Lowepro fastpack, the top and bottom sections can unzip to become one large compartment. This allows me to get a 200 / 300 mm lens in from the top with the hood still attached.
Build quality and materials are excellent, but would prefer if the waterproof cover wasn't so yellow! As photographers (especially travel) we don't normally want to draw much attention to ourselves / our kit.
I would also like to attach extra pouches to the ouside, but there aren't any fitments to allow this.
I would certainly recomend it
