hey guys, im just looking to see if any of you have had any experience with these cash4mygold as im trying to raise a bit of cash. they have given me a good quote for my unwanted jewellery, and i have requested a pack to send off. but i am just trying to find out if they are legit, or are they gunna try and rip me off.

thanks kelack. im not so worried about the value as they have given me a good offer. my real concern is if the website i mentioned is trustworty or not. the offer they have given me is £386 for 58g of gold jewellery which i think is quite generous. but i dont want to just send it off to anybody

I've had a look on companies house and they are not listed, but only Limited companies are listed there.

I see they supply an address and a landline number on their site. maybe worth doing some checking first.

I think I've seen them advertising on TV although that does not make them legit.

I'd still go to one of the jewellers from the link I put on to value and sell my gold.

I was in the Eldon Square mall in Newcastle the other day and a stall had been set up to buy unwanted gold, passed it a few times and there was always someone there getting a price.

Gold prices have really gone up recently, you may be surprised how much a local dealer may pay you, will no doubt be more than an online company IMO.

if its jewelry, how old

modern stones are heat treated which kinda nails the value so all you get is gold value.
IMHO proper old jewelery is the only way to go for quality and resale (if it will sell for what you bought it more can be justifies buying more - I have a sister :D)
