lets hope the police just leave it as an unfortunate incident,

but sadly they'll probably try to rake someone over the coals for it, to the detriment of a sport which is in general very safe.
 
I hope so too. Heard about this on the news. Not a good week for motorsport safety.

What's struck me as really decent is the family saying that no blame should be apportioned to the driver. For them to be grieving over the loss of their son, and to still have the decency to say that is quite touching. Quite often in tragic motor accidents, the driver isnt always thought of as a victim too.
