It's often said that we don't give enough praise for good work but are quick to condemn when something doesn't go well.
In the last couple of weeks I have sent both my Pentax LX bodies up to Robin at Harrow Technical for CLAs. They have both come back in considerably better condition than they were when they left and the turnaround was about 7-10 days or so.
The cost was more than that quoted by other repairers (one of whom had a go at one of the LX bodies but could not sort out the fault and returned it as unrepairable) but the additional cost was well worth it as they not only now function impeccably but actually look better as they replaced one part that was a 'bit the worst for wear' and repainted the logo.
I am so pleased with the service I bought myself a Pentax KX yesterday and it has gone straight off to Robin today.
Just one thing, Robin offers members of the Pentax Users Club a discount on services and repairs costing over £50 which was great for me as it only costs £10 a year and I have saved more than that already, this may not be worth it if you just want an ME Super serviced (£56.50) but I would seriously consider paying the extra for the fantastic work you will receive.
I have no connection with Harrow Technical other than as a very satisfied customer.
