Harrier down in Rutland :(

those things fall over more often than you think!! i know of a pilot that has 'Banged Out' 4 times!! the Navy have lost somewhere in the region of 7 in the last 10 or so years!! i didnt think they'd have any left!! lol..

My neice's boyfriend used to work on them on board HMS Invinsible.. he left about 4 years ago so the data is now old.. they may have lost even MORE!! lol..

Ah they're only £10,000,000 a peice IIRC
WE can afford to loose a few :D
at least the pilot was OK
(but in the Pooh no doubt when he recovers)

Fraggle, your pilot who banged out 4 times is probably a couple of inches shorter now than when he started!

Glad to hear the pilot of this Harrier is safe and sound.

Rumour mill is pretty quiet for this one, I've got a few friends in the RAF and none of them have any idea what happened yet.

A mate of mine used to be in the Navy and he used to work in the IT area of things. He was working on one of the Harriers that had ended up 'falling' off a carrier into the sea. Once the plane was winched out of the water, he and his team were responsible for stripping out all the electrical/computer parts of the plane ready for new bits to go in.

Seems the plane was ok, just water damage to the important bits.....

Taxpayers hard earned money. Who the f*** cares? :annoyed::annoyed:

Lol, I don't know about you but I'd quite like the have a military. They were good at the time but are being phased out what with all the new technologically advanced planes being developed.
