Yes
Does anyone else use one of these? Great remote and love the macro functions which makes life far easier than some of the other all in one remotes.

One thing I've noticed though is that sometimes the power all down misses a device and then it gets stuck in reverse sequence and powers down when it's supposed to power up and vice versa. Have to individually select the device and power it down to bring it back in sync.

Anyone else found this?

Yes I get that sometimes, usually the Sky+ box, if you press Help it usually then asks if 'Device x is Off' and if not gives you the option to turn it off etc. Although it's usually quicker and easier just to turn it off myself.

Even more bizarre is that if you don't use it to turn everything on it won't turn anything off

I'm going to try using the delay feature in the settings. Perhaps it's firing out multiple signals at once and they are interfering. I've found that can happen when trying to use two remotes at the same time.

It would be good if you could configure the power off all button as I prefer to leave my soundbase on.

anytime the remote does something wrong use the help function to sort it.

Thanks but I need to do that almost every time now so it's becoming a pain.

I've just read that you can adjust the power options for each device but I don't remember seeing that option. It could be because I'm looking in the activities and not the actual devices but going to check again.

If it's there then that should fix it because I want to just leave certain things on all the time. Fingers crossed.

Cool, that seems to have done the trick. Great remote!

Hope you don't mind me butting in on your thread gman but just how complicated are the Harmony remotes to set up? I am looking at getting one, so any suggestions and advice would be much appreciated.

Not at all and incredibly simple to setup, it takes you through all the processes very clearly. My cyclone micro 2 wasn't listed in the devices so I just chose the HD one and it works fine. Everything else was listed even my old home theatre system!

There are also many advanced options and I believe it can learn from original remotes also.

They really do seem to have thought of everything.

I have a Harmony elite and it's fine but if someone uses the original remotes then it confuses the Harmony and it has to "repair" itself which is quite easy. Also if you are in an "activity " and you want to adjust the pic settings on the tv you have to switch to device mode to do that- just takes a bit of getting used to!

Just discovered tonight that it is struggling with my dvd system. I can see the TV light flicker when I press buttons such as Play etc which should be controlling the dvd player. I've even tried doing the remote learning function but no success, seems like a conflict perhaps with the frequency. The dvd system and TV are both Panasonic so perhaps this is related

Will need to investigate this.

Ive used Harmony remotes for as long as they exist. I much prefer the activity based approach over the multi device approach from other remotes and it never misses a bit. Each time something like what the OP describes has happened it is normally operated by my 10 year old who presses the button and immediately lays it down, i.e. it looses line of sight and then this can happen. If it happens often I would check both line of sight, and whether you have truly chosen the right product when setting it up.

Reviving this thread to say that I bought one following the help given and have to say it is a revelation and an utter no-brainer especially now they are going cheap - they have been superseded by a newer and way more expensive model that offers more, but nothing that I need.
Get one while you can !

Great device, does have the odd issue with older or more obscure devices but still great :

1. Doesn't recognise the pause function on my very old dvd home theatre. I've just bought a.new Blu-ray player so hopefully that will be sorted.

2. Doesn't recognise the play button with my cyclone media player but the directional centre button works instead so not an issue.

3. Occasionally it doesn't switch to the correct input source on the first press but still powers up and off the correct devices. You simply press the activity shortcut button again and it will switch input.

4. Dedicated Delete button for BT media player doesn't recognise but you can simply use the delete shortcut button in the LCD screen part.

But other than that it's so much easier than six separate remotes.

Looks like the Play and Pause button isn't recognised with the new Blu-ra y player either in activity move even after doing a remote to remote learn. Works OK when selecting the specific device though. I can see it trying to control the TV instead.
