Harman releases motorised reloadable simple film camera

It's encouraging to see a manufacturer making a new film camera, and hopefully it may deter people from buying plastic, single-use, disposable film cameras, but in real terms people would be a lot better off buying a fully-working old classic compact, such as a Canon Sureshot Supreme, for around a half the price of that one. A Sureshot Supreme is a much better camera, with an f/2.8 35m lens and auto exposure, and currently, if you're patient enough, you can find a working one in good condition on eBay for around the £25 mark. So it's probably a difficult market for a new 'cheap' camera to break into, but I'm sure the Lomo crowd and newbies will find it tempting.

I had similar thoughts. Though I doubt I'll manage to pick up a Contax 139 with CZ Planar for half that price again.
