Yes
I have a few old hard drives that I want to use for occasional back-ups etc and having had a quick look it seems that for a single disk I can get one for under £20 -

Is it worth spending more, and if so why ?

My largest HD is 2TB, and I have a couple of SSD's as well, but other than that all I want is something simple to use so what can you tell me please ?

Oh, and a 2 bay dock might be useful, but certainly not essential..

I have a two-bay Icy-box which I got from Novatech but available everywhere ... permanently have two drives in it and it's very useful.
I think I would have regretted it if I had only bought a single bay :)

Thanks gramps - I hear what you are saying about having a 2 bay model so will take a look.

I have the one bay one and am happy with it.

Seems that for once Overclockers are cheaper than many, so unless I can find a better price elsewhere I'll get one from them.

EDIT
Hmm, maybe I'll wait till I am on y computer, as already I've found it cheaper at Scan !

Just a little update - I discovered that I had a bunch of vouchers for Amazon, and while they don't have the Icy Box 2 bay they do sell this one by Orico (who I have never heard of) which has lots of pretty good reviews and has cost me the grand sum of £4.99 after the vouchers were applied, so one is on its way to me.

Thanks for the help !
