Thanks to all of you who contributed advise on my previous thread. Went with the D40X with kit lens.. just took a couple of pics on auto and am dead chuffed.... out of 37 shots only 3 blurred... posted 3 of the better one's below... Cheers.. J

Thanks Steve... went out for a walk yesterday and took a whole load of landscapes to try out different settings, and today is feeding day for my animals, so may well get the opportunity to try a few close ups....

Driving myself mad looking at all the things I can't afford and keep telling myself not to buy ANYTHING until I've been using the camera for at least a couple of months but......... I'm quite a slow learner and feel I need to know it all and I need to know it NOW! :bonk:

Gonna try going to a local camera club in the week see if this helps or hinders
