Ooh I love it too. Two brilliant actresses playing the sisters and little Ryan is great! Can't wait for Tuesday and the final episode!

I missed the start so watched them back to back yesterday

Brilliant series ,every episode was excellent,Sarah Lancashire & Siobhan finneran were superb, I hope there's a 2 nd series too.
 
Hmm, might have to watch it again...not sure what I expected, but I'll reserve judgement until after the rewatch.

The last 20 seconds when Catherine was on the top of the hill was wonderful, that slight smill made me feel all warm inside :)

There has to be a second series because there are quite a few unanswered questions.

I wish I'd watched this now. The review I read of the inital episodes said it wasn't very good so I didn't bother with it. Now they say that although it started weakly it turned into a very good series. Gah!

Just after it went off last night there was an advertisement for the DVD boxset, it said it was series 1 which idicates there will be another series.
 
From Digital Spy:

"A second series of Happy Valley is in the planning stages, creator Sally Wainwright has confirmed.

Wainwright told Radio Times that there is "potential" for another run, though she is yet to receive the official nod from BBC One."
 
Loved it! Need more of this stuff on TV and less reality and Simon Cowell.

I'll have to watch episode 5 again now.
