2017 was a strange one for me... some great and some not so great times
Out of work from Jan 1st and didn't start work until the end of April - on the flip side pay in lieu and payoff meant I was not really any worse off than had i been working (probably £500 at most).
Enjoyed my time off and painted much of the house, but spent a lot of that time job hunting and interview prep, and not knowing when I was going to start work meant it was not totally stress free
Faster time for the Cambridge Half marathon than previous year but still a minute slower than a man with a tumble dryer strapped to his back (although I don't thing he had a lot of the insides in)
Great trip to NY with the wife and organised a surprise party for her without her knowing till she entered the room!
Started a job but hated it from day 1
Great holiday to Orlando & Sth Carolina
Then, after hating the job for 4 months I was offered a dream job with an amazing company which I have been loving
So hopefully 2018 will have a few less of the lows but not sure it will match some of the highs from this year... Happy New Year to everyone, even if 2018 gets off to a not so good start, a positive attitude and a little luck can turn it around!
I hope it is a great year for all of you, as noted by Simon........any lows should be few & far between and when they happen be minor ones but the highs should be notable and productive
