Ok I've got quite a lot of holidays booked for next year, ranging from the Alps in January snowboarding, Florida in march and New Zealand in the summer.

What lens is best to take (only one) ?

I have taken my kit lens but I'm a bit bored of that now, also got a Sigma 10-20mm but seems too wide of holiday snaps.

I have a D60 and have been looking at a 50mm f 1.8 but have been told I can't get the cheaper version because my cam doesn't support AF-S ?!

Also looked at 35mm, but didn't really want to spend anything over £150

Thanks

You need AF-S lenses to autofocus as these are the ones which have a motor built into the body. You could buy the cheaper AF-D but will need to manual focus it.

For £150 you could do worse then look at a second hand Nikon 18-105 lens, the usual kit lens for a D90.

Simple ,18-200mm;)

Just been Jessups and they recommended a Tamron 18-200 @ £169 which i thought wasn't bad, but i feel i need a low f stop.

Woah, why should I not get this over the 50mm 1.8f @ £ 109 on manual focus ?

Bah, looking at the 35mm f1.8 now as thats af, although its an extra £60 that i'm not sure i can justify for a fixed focal length.
