Hello all,

A while ago I brought some Kodak 120 film to test out a 1931 Kodak Brownie I had acquired unfortunately the frame numbers did not Aline and the film was useless I asked Ilford if they new whether their numbers would Aline and they were honest and said they were unsure but sent me about 6 films to try out ( Very nice people at Ilford) I tried the box camera but had a few films left and Decided to get a super high tech camera to try and test the film , Unfortunately none were available in my price range ( No more than £5) and I ended up with a Holga 120n ! Last weekend I decided to go out locally at about 5.30am
in dark damp conditions first trying HP5 400asa film. I'm quite impressed with the results although I may have been able to use the smaller aperture . Here are few from the HP5 400

These have come out well, Brad. The lens is clearly a bit, um, soft even in the centre, but as they say, sharpness isn't everything!

I have noticed up to this point that the view finders view is not as wide as the actual photo and I think with 400 speed film I could have got away with using the smaller aperture
under these conditions. I did a small amount of processing as the originals looked very middle grey with little contrast. I have a colour film to run through it but I'm suspecting this will show it's faults some more.

I also have a holga 120n and the centre is quite sharp but it fades very quickly toward the edge of the frame. I haven't used it for a while, might put a roll through it soon.
