...to Yves Geza and, indeed, to anyone else who shares this birthday. It would have been Dad's 80th today.

Happy Birthday to Yve's fella and all other fellowTP'ers with a birthday.

I delved in to an old E Mail account last night and found that an E mail wishing me a Happy Birthday from all the TP staff.
Automated I guess, but a nice touch, so thanks.

Oooh! Thank y'all! And happy birthday Nod's dad who took much better photos than I ever can and any other fellow anniversarians!

Would you like to see what I got for my birthday? I'll show you!

Why this cornucopia of wonderful gifts? Because, Sunday evening I was moaning "We've run out of potatoes! There's no easy drinking red! There are no cream crackers! There's no good cheese! ..." So it's actually exactly what I wanted!

Although a Maine Coon has now picked up the chaume in her mouth and carried it away! :bang:

Oh yes, and I got a kitten, with whom I'm smitten! Because we only had six cats in the house and some corners of some rooms were a bit empty.

Meet Loki. I suspect TP will see a lot more of him!

We've been fostering Loki for several weeks for The Mayhew Animal Home since he was netted as a four week old feral kitten, but he's a super intelligent little chap [more use than the rest of the menagerie!] so we're adopting him. Loki is the Norse God of mischief but his full name is Lokshen Cat, because the family who fed the feral colony were Italian and they named all the cats after pasta, so he was "vermicelli". Vermicelli is much too big a name for a little cat. Lokshen is exactly the same thing in Jewish cuisine; egg noodles to go in chicken soup and, better than that, it abbreviates to Loki, not to "Wormy" ;)

Awwwww... I bet he lives up to his Norse name more than the Italian (or indeed Jewish!)

Happy birthday J hope it is a great day for you. the new kitten is looking lovely..

didnt you have a birthday last year ??? now stop being greedy Jon ,,,:D

happy birthday ( hello Yvonne ,,,hope everyone's ok )

   I had a feeling there was going to be an addition to the family when I first heard of the foster kitten, what a sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet little bundle of fluff

Oh and happy birthday J

Thanks y'all too, Terri and Andy and Matt :ty:

Awwwww... I bet he lives up to his Norse name more than the Italian (or indeed Jewish!)

Not if I can get him to sit in a saucepan, he won't! :naughty: He's just investigated an empty bowl of chicken soup so the flavour obviously agrees with him!

Who am I kidding? Loki's a keeper not an eater - he's already an expert Paper Ball Retriever [my first since Ambrose who was my first ever kitten in 1979] and shows every sign of becoming an expert Shoulder Rider too :woot:

Happy Birthday J I hope its a good one
Cheese crackers and wine, what more could a guy possibly want anyway? :)

And TBH I had a feeling that the cat was gonna stay (for more than just a day ;) (Sorry Elvis :D))

He had to talk me into it though! Admittedly it wasn't hard, but never the less, I want that on record :D

Did it go something along the line of.......no Matt don't do it, you'll get banned :exit:

Happy Birthday Yves Geza, hope your still sober enough to read it? :D

Thanks, Rich! I'm saving a glass for you mate, if you'll save some of your drugs for me ;)

As for Loki, the argument actually went "Well if Fabs won't have him, we're going to have to keep him! We can't let Cobra use him for bird practice!"
