Yes
Today is the ever delectable Mrs. Nod's birthday. Modesty prevents me being specific but somewhere between 35 and 37 would be a good guess.
I hope @Nod has marked the occasion suitably. I promised a bunch of flowers, so in the spirit of the modern age here is a digital bunch of roses. I hope his lordship passes them on.

I shall indeed, Frank. When I see her! (She's teaching first thing [actually, finished now] then collecting her Mum from a hospital appointment and taking her to town for a coffee then teaching again at lunch time. When I get back from golf, we'll see each other for an hour or so before she goes off to teach again until about 21:00, at which point I'll help her tidy up the studio and take her out for a bite to eat.

On her behalf, THANK YOU FRANK!

Very nice indeed. Many Happy Returns for Mrs. Nod.:)

From Mrs Nod...

Thank you for the kind wishes, especially Frank's for knocking a couple of years off my actual age! At least someone sent me flowers!

(In my defence, I've never sent Mrs Nod flowers so if I started now, she'd wonder what I'd been up to!)

Same here. I wouldn't know what to say if I went into a florist's shop.

I've just remembered....
I did buy some flowers, last year I think, for a significant birthday with lots of zeros involved.

Took SWMBO totally by surprise. She didn't believe they were from me and kept bursting into tears. I have that effect on my women.

What about " HOW MUCH? !!!
Think I said "How much do blokes usually spend?"

She could have told me anything, and probably did. Flowers always seem damned expensive considering they are dead in a week. Cost per minute of useful life is far higher than camera gear!

Men, we like flowers, we can always take a photo of them, even Aldi has flowers and good ones.:)

Men are allowed to like flowers too!!! I prefer to grow my own, mainly for scent but do also buy them for the house - usually from Lidl rather than Aldi but probably similarly priced.

I get my wife flowers at random intervals and for no apparent reason. I find it keeps her confused ... and quiet.

Happy birthday Mrs. Nod.
