The good news is that you can get edible candles (IIRC). They're made with tallow rather than wax.

its the line from when harry met sally that follows the meg moment (actually it isn't - the line is "i'll have what she's having" - but as per a late night facebook conversation with T , when I first watched the film my then girl friend misheard it and spent quite some time saying "i'll have the cheesecake" and wondering why no one laughed)

Exactly, I also saw one particularly dizzy bar maid light a line of large shots for a customer, the only issue (plastic shot glasses) :bang: whoosh entire bar top is now flaming as the glasses melt :) about 15 shots worth :D

you should hae take a long exposure of all the drops of burning spirit spashing everywhere.

(incidentally my mate ben did a wedding once where the bride managed to set fire to her hair doing flaming sambucca shots at the reception (long , blonde, lots of hairspray) - the quick thinking best man put the fire out by throwing his pint over her :lol:

Seen a neat trick with a long (20+ glasses) line of Sambuccas - the barman had them all touching, brimmed them while pouring continuously so there was a little spillage then lit the end of the trail. WHOOF! All glasses lit simultaneously. The scorchmarks on the bar showed it was usual practice!

You can do some wicked stuff like that, I just will not drink the stuff, I once spilt a bottle of the stuff on my bar, and it stripped the varnish clean off, if it can do that to my bar top what can it do to your insides :(
 
are your insides covered in varnish ? if not, probably not a great deal.

I won't drink the stuff because of how rough i feel in the morning :lol:

I know the inside of my arm looks like fillet steak, at least the bit I was looking at after I went for a duck and roll :(
 
I'll have a shot or 2 of Sambucca as long as I'm not paying for it! It's not something I'd buy for myself though (and I very rarely drink in rounds - it's an easy way to drink far too much too quickly!!!) TBH, we tend not to go out for a drink in the UK unless it's for a celebration - I don't hear as well as I used to and noisy pubs are my idea of hell! (Spent too many years on the other side of bars and too many £££ on the right side. Not to mention the years of mopping up and throwing out.)
