Shame i haven't got my copy of 400 Photographs to hand, on the other hand it would probably make me want to jack in photography and take up something more urbane...

I just finished reading his "the camera" book today and it was one of the few technical books I actually understood. Well worth a purchase. Got his negative book on the way now.

I have the first 3 of his technical series, cracking books. The Print is great for darkroom work, simple but informative

I really enjoyed the AA exhibition but it didn't make me despair of ever being that good. I know I will never be that good but I can always dream.

I found the whole exhibition wonderfully depressing. The man was a true genius, both as an artist and as a technician/teacher. He had a perfect understanding of how to create a perfect picture.

By some bizarre coincidence a friend mentioned he had found a book tucked away in his loft that he thought I might like and yesterday gave me "Camera and Lens - The Creative Approach - Basic Photo One". It is a hardback and has First Revised Edition 1970 in it and is in great condition.

Is there a definitive list of his books as googling yields lots of titles but not a list.

Wonder what he would make of Digital?

He was rather excited about the whole thing. There is a clip from a 1980's documentary and the last few minutes are him enthusing about what may come in the future, including digital scanning and digital cameras. He was all about the picture from what I can tell.
