Hanging Mounted Prints without a Frame

I've got a number of prints that I would like to put up on my walls without using a frame. I have some standard prints mounted with mat board, and also some prints on foam core. I've seen hooks that can be pushed up into the backs of the mounts, but has anyone got any suggestions as to how to do this without permanently damaging the prints. Thanks for your help.

That could also be done with velcro tabs (at least to attach mount to subframe) and would give a different look since the print would be proud of the wall. Foamboard mounted prints are in any case well suited to the velcro treatment because they're so light. I've seen this used in a gallery environment. The wall surface would need to be clean and smoothish.

How about one of those very narrow picture shelves such Ikea do for their Ribba frame series??? Needs nothing stuck/attached to the mounts or indeed the frames

Can be home-made from nice wood - I've got a couple in my living room, one about 600mm above the other. Easy to change pictures around. Works for framed prints / paintings too.

How would you go about doing that? Say if I had a print stuck onto some foam core cut to size?

You would just need a simple frame that is smaller than the prints to glue on the back side - e.g/ a 60x40cm print, you could have a 50cm x 30cm subframe on the back. Like---

It doesn't really have to be a full frame either-- just two bits of wood top and bottom. Or you could even glue a smaller piece of 10mm foam board to the back.. Lot's of possibilities!

I like these ideas! I have just seen this picture shelf the other day on the ikea website. Why couldn't i have found that a couple weeks ago???? Thanks for your help guys.
