Hmmmm just had an idea!

If I charged all you horrible people who have laughed at my misfortune in this thread, £5 each.....I could get my sensor replaced in a fortnight!!

I should be on The Apprentice!!! :D

Janice.....you're fired! Good job it was a Canon, then!!! :D

For a few extra bob, you can get dust branding, it's the new hdr... it's set to be a big hit! They clean the sensor meticulously then they carefully put all the dust back in the form of a branding of your choice!

Here is my sensor that I recieved back today, only sent it in 2 hours ago, she really is as fast as the website says!

Your right Janice, I do feel bad for laughing now, so...

You have sent £5.00 GBP to janice@janicehobbs.com. An email has been sent to the recipient.

I hope it helps... you only need £195 now!

Absoultely great thread and a stunning website... well done to JL

Janice, brilliant website:thumbs: . Just a small piece of advice from someone who was in the 'trade' pull the 999 number from the site. The reason is that some clown somewhere will ring it and it could come back to you:rules: . Also do not replace it with 911 because that goes through to the emergency operator as well....Ian

Janice

Would you consider selling franchise rights in this venture...what about training?

Are there strict standards to these scratching operations?

 :D

Yes......very strict training:

  • Put on a blindfold

  • Dip a cotton bud/Q Tip in glue

  • roll it in the coarsest sand available

  • put it onto the sensor vertically.... pushing as hard as possible

  • drag from one side to the other at least 18 times

  • Always remember....never change the cotton bud, you must ALWAYS use the same one

Hope that helps!

Disclaimer: This is not NECESSARILY the best way to clean your sensor!

Wouldn't this also answer the 'how to get watermarking on all of your pictures?' question as well?

Great stuff JL and other contributors.
Glad you can still smile about it Janice.
