Half decent Budget lens ??

Any ideas on a cheap lens thats going to produce half decent pics. Its for my son who's only 10 but likes taking pics and has an interest in wildlife. I'm giving him my nikon D70 and want something cheap and cheerful to go with it..He aint having his hands on my nikon glass
I was thinking of something in the 18-150mm range.

He has got a taste for photography, not sure why though lol !!

how about one of the sigma 18-200 the non OS version seem to be arodun £160 or the ones with it are around 300, shoudl give a nice all in one solution for him

How about the Nikon 18-135 kit lens, saw it the other day for about £169 Park Cameras Advert in Amateur Photographer, no idea how good or bad it is, but its cheap, and the lad will be impressed with it being Nikon glass?

Thanks guys, the sigma 18-200 seems to give a good range and value !!
