Yes
We went to see Hairspray today, the stage version with Michael Ball, Mel Smith, etc.

It was a late birthday pressie for my whiff who's been potty about Hairspray since seeing at the flicks.

Anyway, it was a riot from start to finish but the highlight was Ball & Smith's duet which was brilliant

Gawd, don't let my missus here you say that, she'd beat you to death with an can of the stuff :D

Think my wife is going to put me through watching it...is it really that bad?

Haha, my girlfriend is obsessed with High School Musical and Hairspray (And Zac Efron..), and it does my head in!

Yes! It's a very cheesy, annoying film. I suppose if you're a girl that likes that sort of thing then it could be okay, but I don't think you'll find too many males liking it somehow.

My Wife & Daughter went to see it and thats what they said . Apparently some of the audience were complaing about Ball not appearing that night as they hadn't recognized him

I saw the film at the flicks and the stage version. I enjoyed both. If you like Little Shop of Horrors you'll be fine

Oh I should add Hairspray and High School Musical aren't exactly similar. Although Hairspray on the surface is fair tongue in cheek its actually based on events that took place in 1960's Baltimore and in that sense is a commentary on the racial issues of the time.

Not my cup of tea but the missus loves it. Got her 2 tickets to see the show in May. Thankfully I've roped her friend to go with her instead of me.
