I was in my dealers today, and while chattting he mentioned the battery grips had changed. It seems Hahnel have stopped putting the verticle shutter button (it was mentioned in an earlier post here somewhere) on some models, well now it seems none of it's new models have this feature. If you wan't one with you'll have to look for the older models now. Wayne
 
My dealer says it's to keep prices down, but that a pretty stupid reason if it's true.
I suspect they will sell less without the buttons. Both my Canon and Nikon ones have the buttons, the Nikon come with a remote control, and car charger as well, being honest I wouldn't buy one without the shutter button, it's my main reason for having the battery grip in the first place.
 
i would have thought it'd be the main reason for people to get one, i know my grip was bought for the extra buttons and only partly for the balacing effect it has on a 400D
 
i just bought one this week from WHE - absolutely no way i would have even considered it if there was no vertical shutter button.
