Haggis!!!!!

I was born to eat Haggis and love it :love: with Neeps n Tatties, I like the white mealie pudin too :thumbs:, and as I've lived in Yorkshire for more years than enough, bring on the Black Pudding :woot:

i once ate a whole mega bucket of KFC with all the chips and the sides. all to myself in one sitting that was when i was younger.
 
A Haggis Supper with HP sauce, the only way to have it :)
 
I love haggis, cook as normal, cut into slices and then fry, put in a buttered (not marg) bap (roll) with a slice of black pudding and pepper. Amazing!

yep I like haggis with neeps and tatties - the best haggis can be bought from Houstons in Dumfries
 
I eat it regularly, as someone said ^ haggis is the food of the gods. McSweens haggis is very nice and can be bought in Tesco.

Tripe? not even my dog will eat it!

Yeah I love haggis. I love it with neaps and tatties. Where I originate from you can but pies from the bakers with happis on the botton and neaps and tatties on top. Also if you go to the chippie you can have battered jumbo haggis n chips - scrummy! :p I want some now!

Up here nth of the border Macsweens is the best haggis to get. I used to make it as a butchers apprentice 40 odd yrs ago but no-one could touch macsween haggis then and its still the same today, I'll only buy haggis from Macsween. They exported it all over the world back then.

You must be making meals small enough for a sparrow if you don't have a pan to fit haggis :D:)

These ones were the size of Rugby Balls! There are only two of us anyway, so we wouldn't be able to eat it all.
 
Haggis - it's lovely!!! We have it with mashed potatoes and swede (neeps and tatties).
We've just bought ours for our Burns night supper (next saturday), plus a little one for this evening :p

Can't wait!
 
haggis is lovely, ill be enjoying mine with neeps and tatties next weekend on the 250th aniversary!



my parents celebrate burns night every year, no one is actually scottish but its good clean fun and we get to get drunk.

we'll be having a haggis contained in the proper material!

Chicken bread stuffed with haggis in whisky sauce: Mmmmm

Haggis + tatties in a Yorkshire pudding: very nice indeed

It's good with a fry up too :thumbs:
 
I hope I'll like it. I like most other offal based food.

Although, if you're ever in france and 'Aundouilette' is on the menu, avoid it. The french will say that it's very special and a distinctly french taste, but I've not met an unFrench person who likes it.

we are doing the same, we always do it on a saturday night for convenience more than anything, obviously it'll stray over into sunday.


our family seem to have a tradition of celebrating other cultures festivities, we celebrated thanks giving a few years back, always celebrate burns night, i think it stems from the fact theres very little in the way of english celebrations :thumbsdown: so we have to make the most of other countries!:thumbs:
