Haggis, black pudding, white pudding...food of the gods
Tripe on the other hand![]()
Do you eat sausages?
nope, burgers neither, nor black/white pudding
I currently hold the record at work for eating a whole haggis in the shortest amount of time, mainly because no one has been stupid enough to try and emulate the feat. However, just now, I had haggis broth for lunch. Lovely stuff.
i once ate a whole mega bucket of KFC with all the chips and the sides. all to myself in one sitting that was when i was younger.
So no processed meat then?
Hmm, again this could explain much!![]()
I love haggis, cook as normal, cut into slices and then fry, put in a buttered (not marg) bap (roll) with a slice of black pudding and pepper. Amazing!

I thought it was mad cow disease, not mad chicken disease.

Does anyone actually eat tripe? There is a reason that it's anoth word for rubbish!![]()

Only had it once in a hotel in Scotland and it was Chicken stuffed with Haggis, absolutely gorgeous
those haggis are damn hard to catch in the wild![]()

Yeah like me haggis. Also love black and white pudding, but white is quite hard to get.
They're fast little beasties - we used to try and catch them up in the hills![]()
Just got back from town and am not impressed. As I brought up this subject, I thought I'd pop into waitrose as they do the McSween haggiseses (What is the plural for Haggis?) Problem is they only had humongous ones and I haven't got a pan big enough.
Ah well, have to head for the butchers tomorrow.
Up here nth of the border Macsweens is the best haggis to get. I used to make it as a butchers apprentice 40 odd yrs ago but no-one could touch macsween haggis then and its still the same today, I'll only buy haggis from Macsween. They exported it all over the world back then.
You must be making meals small enough for a sparrow if you don't have a pan to fit haggis![]()
Haggis - it's lovely!!! We have it with mashed potatoes and swede (neeps and tatties).
We've just bought ours for our Burns night supper (next saturday), plus a little one for this evening
Can't wait!

Me neither. Isn't Burns Night Sunday (25th) though?![]()
Yup, and my 50th birthday!
Wonder if I can get Haggis in EuroDisney?

Yes it is...BUT we're bringing it forward to allow for hangovers to subside before the working week...:nuts:Me neither. Isn't Burns Night Sunday (25th) though?![]()
