He came to see the Barn Owls, but guess what? Yeah.. only 1 was about and it was too far off for a decent shot :bang: The one day in weeks that's happened. But Hopefully if Ian comes back tomorrow morning (work permitting) at least one will be about a bit closer.
However, all was not lost. Had two firsts for my place, two Curlews flew over and we had a Green Woodpecker in our big tree
Ian has some shots of the woodpecker, which look more than half decent when chimping 
Of course they were mere specs of dust on my camera using my 70-200m L.
So from this moment on I am saving. If I save £100 a month from now on it will only take me.... Oh, 6+ years to get Ian's kind of set up
Best get saving, and put a couple of extra lottery tickets on.
It was jolly nice to meet you though Ian, and like I said, you are more than welcome to return when ever you like
