Am i doing anything wrong?. When i converge three bracketed RAW images using Potomatix and Tone map them the resulting image always has a magenta/purple cast. I can eliminate this in photo shop but is this normal. The thee images have no cast to them before i start the conversion. Most of the images i have taken recently have been in lowish light levels.????????????????????

There's a little more to it than just banging a few images together and hoping for the best. Somebody did a guide to HDR processing. I think it was petemc. Its in the tutorials section probably.

Its not normal, I just guessing but it sounds like you have a colour profile mix up problem between packages, or your white balance is set incorrectly somehow...just guesses as I said.

are you handing photomatix the raw files? It may be that photomatix isn't very good at handling RAW's. Try converting them to Jpeg or Tiff in another RAW processor first.

Hmm... Photomatix is set up to work from Tiffs. Output your RAW files as Tiffs, open those in Photomatix and you may well see a difference.

I thought Photomatix only handled Tiff files.

yes Tiff works better.But photomatix does handle RAW files. Thanks for the advice
