gym photography

i am doing a shoot soon in a gym , portraite and guy using gym equipment ,
has any one got any tips , i have a nikond3000 , a flash gun stand and brolly , i have a potraite lens 50mm fixed focal length ,
any advice for iso , fstop , shutter , lens to use

(what I would do) its difficult to say what settings you'll need but id go before the actual shoot, look at the equipment think of the angles you can get at. Try some settings out too. This has another advantage (especially if youre being paid) so that you can set up much faster, and not be messing around with settings too much. (looks much more professional)
