Edit My Images
Yes
My elderly parents have just come back from a trip to LA, taking in Vagas, the grand canyon etc...
I gave them a mem card with a bigger capacity than theirs so they could take lots of piccies... under protest they claimed that the 130 theirs held was sufficient!!! So I ge the card back and they have hammered over 500 piccies off...
The frustrating thing is the majority were Crap! views of the grand canyon spoilt by poor photography, looking at some of the views they were breathtaking, and all I could thing of was how much better my pictures would have been lol!!
Gonna rent my services for their next trip :)
Think I'm going to photoshop and frame some for them, do the place some justice...I may post some up here so you can share my frustration lol

lol, you are spot on!! 1/2 of the golden gate bridge!!!!
will post some up tomorrow :)

Remember its to remind them of the trip, they don't have to be pro quality they will love them just as much with or wirhout a bin in the way etc

i remember being stopped in preston by some tourists (clearly lost tourists) they asked me to take a picture for them with them posing infront of the uni arts building (a converted church). sadly they;d failed to notice the neon front of a newsagents in the foreground which would have blighted the picture!

I can totally understand what you are saying and it is a real shame but you have to remember that the majority of folk just don't know the differenec between good and bad photography. Their holiday photos will be great to them no matter what technical errors you can see. To them they are 90% memories and 10% photos to trigger those memories.

I am still looking forward to great examples of how not to do it though ;)

I have a friend who whenever he was asked by tourists to take their picture that if they attempted to tell him how to press a shutter button he would always smile politely then make sure he took the shot with just their legs in frame. On occasions though, if there was a pretty girl in the background, he would attempt to fill the frame with her instead. :smilenod:

Many times I had to walk away to stop them from seeing me laughing :laugh1:

Ah, you have to love the mischief makers!

I fully appreciate its about memories and not technical ability. Its the Irony of being in such a place...and you should see the pictures lol
Will post some up in a bit... ;)

A true representation of the benefits of digital though, atleast you arent being billed for every roll of film regardless of what it contains.

As mentioned they are a reminder though, not everyones a pro photographer or even cares too much about composition.

Atleast through PS you can salvage some and probably make some typically normal shots looks that extra bit special, and gain respect in the process:thumb:

As regards Steves post - they may have been delighted with the unexpected picture of a beautiful woman in their holiday snaps, the legs though - LOL
