Work has been mental, which has meant a complete lack of opportunity to get out. So I book the rest of this week of on holiday to go out and ''shoot'' some Salmon and take some Autumnal landscapes, I had a day of finding my eye on Tuesday.

Then I played my usual football match on tuesday evening and ended up spending 3 hours in A&E, leg now in plaster and looks like I have torn my ankle ligaments, get full diagnosis next Thursday when swelling has gone down!

:bang:

****ed off and seriously gutted !

Yeah, sick pay is fine! Just was looking forward to first dedicated outside shooting for quite a while!!
Stan - Giving up football is the first thing the doctor said when they saw my ankle x-ray ..... I quote '' God, this looks a bit knackered, like a proper fooballers ankle'' and also Andrea !!
Not a chance though :)

Can't do a thing until next Thursday, when I get a full diagnosis, never been on crutches before, it's blinkin hard.

yeah,i can imagine what andrea must be saying..:lol:i hope it won't stop you getting to the millenium stadium for saturdays game against the 'boks' :thumbs:i'm gonna enjoy it in my local with the lads, then the calzaghe fight later..plus it's my birthday,so should be a good 'un..especially if we beat the 'boks' ;)

That's a real bummer! I go stir crazy when I'm laid up like that.

Hope you have a speedy recovery Neil

Hope you have a speedy recovery Neil

Cheers !!

Ouch take care Neil! Let it heal properly before you start trying anything again or you could end up adding a few more weeks!!

Will do mate - I hope I get good news next Thursday.

A knitting needle is handy for relieving the itch :D

Knitting - hmmmmm. Not one of my top 10 things to do in my spare time :)
Kitchen spatula ?

Sorry to hear the news Neil. Hope you soon recovered.

Definite ouch! Did the same 10 years ago. The worst thing was the boredom! I was signed of work for 6 weeks but by the end of the first week I phoned them and had work sent to me!

On the positive side, I lost a decent amount of weight as I couldn't get to the kitchen easily to get snacks! :D

Hope you mend quick!

Sry to hear about your problems, and I'm to far north to make any use of spare ticket :'( (spoken like a true Welshman, rugby 1st  )

Less about me, get well soon Neil

Much obliged !

And of course there's daytime tv!

Thank heavens for SKy Plus and the Internet, daytime TV is utter pants. Although the box programme with Noel Edmonds is strangely compelling!!

Yep - I know that feeling, luckily (or not) I can work from home, so it's laptop stuff for me for at least the next week. It's silly stuff you don't even think about... For example, You hobble in to the kitrchen to make a cup of tea and then realise that with crutches you can't carry it back to the lounge!!

Well, I am gutted Gerald about the tickets, just hope I can now make it too NZ and the Ozzies - Fingers and my right toes are at least crossed.

It's a first for me too. Never been on crutches before, so there is a first for everything.

ChewyUK, but the question we all want to know is...

... what did your salmon shots turn out like? :)

It was indeed John - A little later, I think early December. Another visit is overdue me thinks, was justa talking to to dave about it as well.

Sorry to hear about you're injury Neil, here's to a speedy recovery.

And fingers crossed for a double with the rugby & Calzaghe.:boxer:

Regards Spence

I hope so, not used to watching Wales rugby on the TV :( but settling down to a day of Sport. Very hard seeing all the fans walk past my front window with jerseys and hats on !!.
I think Calzaghe will actually walk it tonight, if not on points then, the 11th :) Cheers Spence

Sorry to hear about your injury Neil. Didn't miss much landscaping at the weekend though. Weather was dreadful! Hope you have a speedy recovery :)

Ouch. Sorry to hear that Chewy. I didn't want to say before (didn't want to be the harbinger of doom!) but my old work collegue had an injury sounding very similar to yours and he was out of action for weeks and weeks. hope you get well soon.
