I had deleted this at one point having it pointed out by the seller that checking a serial number for firmware often shows up as a camcorder, however I checked the serial number supplied on CPN and it was indeed duff.

The advert is this one.

EDIT: User supplied a photo with a valid serial number, but of the box - not the camera, most likely taken at Jessops but again I could be wrong.

it's almost 99% a scam when the listing with all copy and paste product info. Many of them also copy listing (pictures, serial..etc) from ebay

Because some fall for it or worse turn up with cash and get mugged :(

I got a response from the second one just saying "email me at my work email xxxxxx at hotmail.com" lol.

Doh! I've always imagined people getting mugged carrying that much money around. Not very intelligent people are they..

£670 for a 5 D Mk III. Bargain!!!! Or maybe not!

what is with people posting bundle deals with iMac's and MacBook Pro's...surely looks like scam

If it's nicked.. put it on Craigslist.
If it doesn't exist.. put it on Gumtree.
If it doesn't work.. Ebay it.

(unfair, I've had some great deals on Ebay and remarkably few problems compared to those that people report)

I bought my only two cameras off gumtree
Both very good buys, but I made sure I had a good chat with both sellers to suss them out
I only buy cheap stuff off ebay, but again, I seem to have been lucky
You just have to be careful with the hard earned
