guide book for canon 40d

Having just purchased a Canon 40d can anybody recommend a decent guide book to help me get to grips with it
 
Well the manual is normally pretty good (I don't mean that funnily). :)

If you are new to photography personally I'd get a book on all round photography which explains aperture, ISO, DOF etc.

Understanding Exposure is often recommended in this way.

it comes with a free manual lol
 
not necessarily if he bought it second hand - though you can download a manual from the canon website.

personally I like the Andy Rouse DSLR handbook - its not specific to a given model but read in conjunction with the manual its pretty good (especially if you've not used a dslr before)
