Stick a finger in one ear, if you can still hear, that's the deaf one :p
 
Go round the back then! (Of course, you only need to stick one finger in one ear - if it makes no difference, that's the bad ear, if it makes a difference, that's the good ear...)
 
The boss has been round asking why I have a finger stuck in my ear and not in its usual, slighly lower down, place...
 
Tell him/her it's because you're a worker not management.

It could have been worse (s)he could have caught you on an internet forum I suppose ;)
 
If you dont mind, this is fairly serious. I cant hear the boss boll**king me for a start.
 
Or the kettle boiling, or the phone ringing...............(y)
 
It must be catching, I was cleaning my ears this morning with those cotton bud things,
I discovered one cotton bud was covered in Custard, and the other cotton bud covered in Jelly,
b****r! I'm a trifle deaf I thought to my self.
