I'm going to have to tread lightly here......but I think I had some back in the early seventies

this worries me, I'm hoping you mean platforms :D

OK. It's Saturday night, so there's time for a much longer clue! :D .........

"Hamish!"

"Dougal! … You’ll have had your tea!"

"Aye,I have, but have you seen what’s happening on the football field!?"

"Indeed I have! …. But I thought she was in love with Denis, or at least Chris!"

"Precisely!"

"And I thought he was in love with Jeannie and he was in love with Pricilla!"

"So did I!!"

"Ah well, I suppose it must be something to do with that man with the filum camera!"

"Ah! That would explain it then!"

"Goodbye!"

"Goodbye!"

It bloody isn't! :p

Look, it took me bloody ages to work out who loves whom [it didn't actually take me very long at all]

... but when you've worked out who loves whom, you've got the title of the movie :D

Still not, I'm afraid.

... it's probably one for Flash in the Pan! ;) I've never actually seen the movie in question, but he'll be able to tell us all about it.

I have checked my spelling ;)

ETA - and rechecking it somewhere else gives me PriScilla :bonk: :help:

as in Debbie Harry - songs Denee Denee and relationship with Chris Stein

Larry Hagman loved Jeannie in I dream about Jeannie and Patrick Duffy loved Priscilla in Dallas

Has this thread died?

Quick, easy one while we're waiting for Defiance - [cheeky sod pushes in with another one!]

Hamish!

Dougal, you’ll have had your tea!

Aye, but what are those leather bound tomes you’re reading?

They’re the chronicles of Ogri and Barry Sheene.

Och aye! I see now what’s embossed on the spine!

Goodbye!

Goodbye!

The Motorcycle Diaries?

 Let's try a bit harder then ...

"Hamish!"

"Dougal, you’ll have had your tea!"

"Indeed I have! ... By the way, I know those folk used to have the reputation for copying things, but I thought those ones had to be individually hand made!"

"I thought so too, but Mr Cohen had three of them and he was delighted with them – at least until the explosions started! Then he realised about the misprints!"

Manhattan project?

Historically closer, but no.

Another clue? Give me [and Hamish and Dougal] a few minutes ...

No ....

Hamish!

Dougal, you’ll have had your tea!

Aye, but they want another clue. Apparently Mr Cohen’s three that they copied instead of being individually hand made and which had misprints and which then went bang, weren’t enough!

That’ll take some thinking, Dougal, will ye take a wee dram?

Aye, I think a Short could be just what would help them!

Whisky?

No whisky wouldn’t help. The help would come from that caraway flavoured liquour!

Okay so you need a Short, a Kummel

Aye, that should help them!
