Yes
I have a new steed to replace the stolen one. It looks so damn fine that I might just look at it for a long time and never ride it

Anyway, can you tell what it is yet..........

It's not the Trek fuel ....the shock is fixed to the frame, not a rocker link

Custom Brompton just in time for the world champs on Sunday?

I'm thinking possibly a Rocky Mountain, guessing a Slayer?

You can tell I'm confident..whatever it is it looks good!

 A mountain bike  its got more gears than my jeep so no good for me!

Arghh put us out of our misery!

Easy ... Gary Fisher Roscoe ... weird shock shape gives it away.

Hey, well done you guys. Some nice thought processes going on there. The win goes to dinners though. It is the Gary Fisher Roscoe 3.

Now I know it is a Trek "secondary" brand but you have got ride this bike to appreciate it. The demo was the 2 and the three is lighter and sexier component-wise.

I demo'd the Santa Cruz Heckler, Orange 5, Intense Tracer, Trek Fuel, EX and Remedy, MSC Carbon among others and just loved the way this rig climbs AND descends.

I rode the World Cup downhill track at Schladming on it and it coped well. I also took it up an alp and it helped an old man get higher anf further than I could have expected.

It is great to find a bike that does it for you. The 5 was the sexiest ride. The Tracer was the biggest disappointment. The Roscoe is not cheap but hey!, check the bling!

Here she is in full glory:

nice................very nice......................very VERY nice

Still can't believe you didn't like the Tracer
They must have really lost something with the new generation VPP, I still adore my aging (pre vpp) Tracer.

Nice bike - I recently bought a new bike, a Marin Nail Trail - used the company Cycle to Work scheme to buy it, saved me 40% on the ticket price:)

Taken it away to one of the trails yet?

I got my Zaskar elite the same way, brilliant scheme if your work does it:thumbs:

Nice bike, hope you have great fun with it

Really must try one of these new fangled full suspension bikes one day

What sort of weight do they come in at?

In the showroom the tracer looked the dogs, however on trail it was heavy and did not like rider input, it could descend ANYTHING capably but I did not like the feeling of being a passenger.

Nope - busy at work but maybe tonight.

Not sure of the weight but this bike feels really light and taught. You would need to go carbon to shave more weight.

I have learned more about my riding testing (and setting up) demo bikes and can really understand how you need to sit "inside" your suspension setup and not "on top" to get the best from your steed. I would recommend that riders put aside their brand preferences and ride as many bikes as possible before splitting with the cash.

Full marks to Alpine Bikes who supplied me with a demo Roscoe for TWO WEEKS whilst waiting for my own bike to arrive (long story but late from Trek).

Cheers!

Gary.

Nice ride. Fisher is the man too. Know what you are saying. I looked at upgrades earlier this year (March) and ended up going for the Lapierre 314 as everything felt right going downhill for me. It is as if the bike has a mind of its own and holds the line and pulls me in when I should be going over. Love it and was a close call between that and a Trek and a Commencal 5.5.2 but the French esoteric bike got my dollar in the end and I am looking forward to modding it up a bit now too.

I could not get a demo Lapierre but had my eye on that. Local bike shop has just taken them in - a real enthusiasts bike with great build quality and nice touches (sag indicator, etc)

but its got no engine.
Lazy!

Nice, and I've not seen many on the trails either. Wouldn't change my Heckler for anything though

Can I just say that the Heckler has one of the most sorted back-end of all the bikes I have ridden. The short top-tube was something I could not live with though being a long-bodied individual. Most impressive characteristic of the heckler is that you can cycle UP any terrain and it remains calm and sure-footed. Descents are similarly re-assuring.

We now need a TP bike meet. :D

Bike meet sounds like a GREAT idea, I need a trip somewhere (with proper hills!) soon.

I know what you mean about the Heckler being short, especially after my last bike which was like an oil tanker... It's only on really long rides I notice it though, and I reckon the tradeoff is worth it for the sheer fun on descents. But then again, we're probably different shapes, and I reckon a long stem would ruin it.
