Why oh why did I think it was a good idea to host a Mexican Dinner Night!?
 
Cos it was at the time ;) and you will do it again once you've recovered (y)
 
I stopped drinkin' many, many years ago. Three day hangovers, nah f*** that for a lark. Never looked back.:)

I have some very bad experiences with tequila over the years so I tend to avoid it.

Except for recently at a work thing where tequila and sambuca were consumed side by side.

The preceding weekend was a write off.

Its not good news! You know the worm that was in your botle of tequila? Turns out it wasn't that brand of Mescal :hungover:

And worse! The wormy tequila is the least of your worries - wait till Montezuma's Enchilada starts to work its special magic! :runaway:

In the days when I indulged in such activities... 'twas always

Salt > Tequila > Lemon (or lime)

Also standard practice was 3 of those, early doors, (£1 a go at the bar) then coke (cola) for the rest of the night, with additional Tequila as required to maintain level of inebriation/ self-perceived disco dancing ability :banana:

Was more... 1 tequila, 2, 3... Phwooaarr ( tequila goggles have at least ten times the strength of Beer Goggles :woot:

I largely concur, in my day was almost always a lemon, the only time you saw a lime was sticking in the neck of a bottle of Corona... (round my way that qualified as a cocktail :ROFLMAO:)
 
And with gold, or brown, tequila it's an orange I'm told.

I won a contest in Mexico a few years back. it was a word association game and when you got stuck or couldn't think of a word you had to drink a shot of Tequila.

I believe I won as I almost had the whole bottle to myself:beer:

Hahahaha at least it was an awesome party! Still not sure what I was thinking but hey, it was fun!

That old saying was certainly true, though I teamed the tequila with marshmallow liqueur shots and vodka mixed with lemonade, probably the cause of the rotten hangover!

We did salt, shot, lime - and there were a few who hit the floor at the fourth!
