Guys were can I get a 70cm softbox grid from can't seem to find one in the net well I found one but it was £150 any ideas

Thanks Richard I have seen them before but as for modifying them what would you do get a bigger and cut it to size

Yes, maybe get the 100x70, and hope the 70 side fits. They attach with Velcro.

Bit of a faff though - do you need a grid? They have two main purposes, 1) to prevent flare when the light is behind the subject, pointing towards the lens, 2) to prevent spill, so the light falls only where you want it. A grid is best for (2) but for (1) your Westcott has a very deep rim to start with which helps, and it's ideal for attaching a flag to shield the light from the lens. Use thin black card, or cine-foil/black-wrap and stick-on Velcro tabs or BluTack.
 
yes Richard its for no2 yes and the card is a good idea and maybe put a strip of Velcro down one side
 
What Richard said, I'm planning to buy a larger grid for my 80x80 Godox, and have the MiL make it fit for me.
