Good evening all my name is Mike and I'm a total noob to dslr .
I've recently bought myself the Nikon D3300 vr ii kit.. The main reason I made this purchase was for our family holiday in October when we are travelling to Orlando in Florida.. It will be the third time we have been there as a family and I've always used a Panasonic Tz compact camera for our holiday snaps.. Hoping I've made the right choice in my new purchase in the Nikon.
Any advice and tips would be gratefully received.. Thanks Mike

Hi, rom experience, of going on holiday with shiny new dslr BEFORE I'd got the hang of the basics... Get the hang of the basics before you go
I went away with mine without learning much, and got some decent pics, thro luck not judgement!
For me, the Dummies book for my camera (D3100) was a godsend
