Hello, another newbie to the forum here!
I'm ashamed to say I bought my Nikon D40x several years ago, but still shoot mainly in Auto mode, with brief ventures into the 'aperture' mode. I am now determined to get beyond this, and after lurking here for a while I can see that you lot are the font of all photographic knowledge!
