Hello from Belfast,

I've just got my first DSLR. A Nikon D3100. I've bee using a digital compact for a number of years and I have dabbled in SLR photography, but that was decades ago. I think it would be better to start from scratch.


My passion is Lambrettas and scootering, but I'm very keen to take better pictures of my scootering exploits, hence the move into DSLR territory.

Welcome Robert, I have taken the same path as you ,film SLR's,compact digital,then DSLR's.
You will know about apertures and depth of field so have a head start.

With a DSLR my passion was brought back.:thumbs:
