Hi all 
I have just joined up to try and improve my photography skills a bit. I do reviews for a wood turning magazine and am busy writing a book about pen making so I need to take some decent photographs for step-by step how to articles and of the finished products.
I am not an absolute beginner but my intention is mostly to lurk and learn, so I may not post much and will try to avoid asking daft newbie questions without searching for previous threads on the subject first.
I have a Canon EOS450D with the kit lenses supplied.
