I’m a 51 year old senior computer analyst programmer, living and working in the south / east Manchester area. My favourite photographic subjects are wildlife and landscapes. This gets me out of the house occasionally which, given my occupation, can only be a good thing.
I’ve been dabbling in photography for almost twenty years, mostly taking the odd holiday snap with a series of film and digital compacts. About a year ago, I decided to start taking my photography seriously and invested in a Canon EOS 450D.
As far as glassware is concerned, the Canon came with a cheap and cheerful 18-55mm IS kit lens but I mostly use its big brother, the 55-250mm IS. I also have a scary monster, one of Sigma’s 150-500mm zooms. Armed with the latter, no cute little furry animal is safe from me. Finally, I have a Canon 10-22mm wide-angle lens for landscape shots.
My life’s ambition is to own the world’s largest collection of red panda jpegs.
