Hi all, I am a relative newcomer to the world of photography, having merely dabbled and snapped this and that in a casual manner over the last 15 years or so. It's only now that I am keen to get a bit more serious about photography, starting with hopefully getting a proper understanding of ISO, stops, lenses etc.

I have a Nikon D3100 as my DSLR choice along with a couple of lenses purchased over a number of years, and recently have started gathering a few film cameras. So far I have collected:

Quite a haul indeed, but all were cheap enough so I can experiment with them and keep the ones I like best.

I am keen on landscapes, industrial and abstract photos. I would like to get in to night and astro photos too at some stage. Hopefully by joining here I can chat to likeminded folks and perhaps join a club in Ireland as I don't really know anyone I can go on shoots with or learn from etc.
