Hello there, I'm new here and an amateur in every aspect.
I'm a graphic designer by trade so I'm embarrassed to admit that I know less about photography than I probably should . As part of my degree course I had to undertake several photography modules which I'm afraid to say, at the time didn't really hold my interest and I scraped by with minimum passes.
Looking back I think this was because it was mainly studio based work with complicated lighting set ups and feel I'm more of an opportunist photographer. I'm happiest wondering around, camera in hand, seeing if any good shots arise. I hasten to add that it might also have had something to do with the fact that I was a flighty 18 year old with too many thoughts of the student union on my mind
Fast forward 10 years and I'm willing to leave the pub behind and get out there and tackle the big ol' world of photography. I come armed with my trusty Canon EOS450D and am ready for action.
I joined this forum so it offers me a way to 'geek out' with like minded individuals and am looking forward to talking f stops and lenses with y'all
